The company owns and operates two distilleries, Tomintoul and Glencadam, and produces a wide range of award-winning single malt and blended whiskies.
Angus Dundee began as a Scotch whisky blending company, but in 2000 it purchased Tomintoul distillery, giving it access to single malt stocks. Tomintoul was one of the new breed of functional post-war Scottish distilleries, established in 1965.
Three years after buying Tomintoul, Angus Dundee acquired Glencadam. By contrast with Tomintoul, Glencadam boasted a long history of whisky-making, having been founded in 1825.
In 2011, Angus Dundee Distillers acquired a dormant bottling plant in Coatbridge. The plant was refurbished and modernized, and it reopened in 2013. The Coatbridge bottling plant is a state-of-the-art facility that allows the company to bring its bottling operations in-house, expand its production capacity, and offer a wider range of bottling services to its customers.
Today, Angus Dundee Distillers is one of the leading independent Scotch whisky companies in the world. It has a strong presence in the global market, with its products sold in over 100 countries.
In addition to its own brands, Angus Dundee Distillers also bottles and exports Scotch whisky for a number of other companies. It is a highly respected company with a reputation for producing high-quality whiskies.
Angus Dundee Distillers is committed to innovation and excellence. The company is constantly developing new and exciting expressions, and it is also a pioneer in the use of sustainable practices in whisky production. Angus Dundee Distillers is a company that is passionate about whisky, and it shows in every bottle they produce.
