Annual House of Commons lunch October 2012.
This years lunch was sponsored by Angus Robertson MP for the SNP party and is seen on the steps of the Terrace with members of the Committee. Another great day and experience for the well attended event which started with a walk about tour of the main Westminster sights like Downing Street, Westminster Abbey etc for those who braved the weather and the early start. Prior to lunch a number of members and their guests experienced the delights of the Chapel (inside the Great Hall) and then headed towards the Terrace Bar for pre lunch drinks. Lunch as usual was in the wonderfull Winston Churchill Room where 86 hungry people enjoyed a fantastic lunch. Angus kindly agreed to sponsor the event, which was his second time, and gave a very insightful talk and answered questions on Scotland and the forthcoming vote for independence in 2014. As usual tours of the Palace including the House of Lords and the Commons finished off the day although as is the custom many of our guests retired to the Red Lion to wind down.
