Work is continuing on the various excise policy projects under the simplification/modernisation banner.
Excise Movement Guarantees
Internal and external engagement continuing on policy change proposal – HMRC will update stakeholders shortly on next steps.
Due Diligence
Policy and operational colleagues held a workshop on 28th August to discuss and agree improvements to the application of Due Diligence for HMRC and excise businesses.
Next steps will be to take the proposal to the Alcohol Delivery Group for agreement before HMRC liaise with excise businesses via JECG.
