Following up from the resent update, we have now received formal confirmation from HMRC’s SDST that the Excise Movement Control System release to move onto a new platform will take place as follows:
- UK EMCS to be taken offline from 12:00 GMT / 13:00 CET on Friday 16 August 2024
- New UK EMCS to come online from 10:00 GMT / 11:00 CET on Monday 19 August 2024
This makes the revised Live Implementation Date Monday 19 August 2024.
Within this period of downtime, any Excise movements that are required will be subject to the existing Fallback Procedures.
