Apply for Approval: VPD & VDS scheme

From today (1st April 2026), applications are open for approval for Vaping Products Duty and the Vaping Duty Stamps Scheme.

From April 2026, businesses can apply for approval from HMRC.

Approval is required for:

  • Manufacturing
  • Storage locations
  • Applying duty stamps

You will need to provide:

  • Business details and tax references
  • Responsible person details
  • Premises and security plans
  • Business plan
