Whyte & Mackay marks Tamnavulin milestone with rare 25 year-old release

Whyte & Mackay has announced a rare and highly limited whisky release to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Tamnavulin Distillery.

The 25 Year Old Moscatel Cask Diamond Anniversary edition is a single cask release limited to just 295 bottles. Distilled in 2000 during a brief reopening of the distillery amid a 12-year closure, the whisky captures a unique moment in Tamnavulin’s history.

Matured for 20 years in American oak before a five-year finish in a Moscatel cask, the expression offers a classic Speyside profile with floral notes and a bright citrus finish.

It will be available from April in selected specialist bars, pubs and retailers across Scotland, as well as at the distillery during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival from 29 April to 4 May.
