Originally created for Muscular Dystrophy UK and funded by Project Giving Back, the garden won the prestigious Best in Show award at the 2024 Chelsea Flower Show before beginning its remarkable journey to Glasgow.
With the support of The Malcolm Group, the garden was carefully transported more than 400 miles in five articulated lorries to its new home beside the hospice in Bellahouston Park.
Since arriving in Glasgow, hospice staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to care for the garden while land generously donated by Glasgow City Council was prepared for its permanent location.
Now fully replanted behind the hospice, the Malcolm Family Forest Bathing Garden will provide a peaceful and restorative space for patients and their families throughout the week. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to visit and enjoy the garden during weekend opening times.
The hospice hopes the community will come along to experience the calm, beauty, and reflection offered by this unique award-winning space.
