The BWA held its annual House of Commons Lunch on 4th September 2025, featuring Andrew Griffith MP as the keynote speaker.
The event drew a diverse audience of business leaders and professionals from the industry and gave them the opportunity to engage and network with their peers.
Andrew Griffith was the key speaker and brought both political insight and business acumen to the fore. Andrew is the Conservative MP for Arundel and South Downs and current Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade. He addressed attendees on the pressing challenges facing the business, logistics, and hospitality sectors.
Griffith highlighted rising costs and regulatory burdens as key concerns for businesses, citing increases in national insurance, business rates, and the cumulative effect of new legislation.
The address resonated strongly with attendees, many of whom are directly affected by the issues raised. For businesses in bonded warehousing and logistics, policy decisions on taxation and regulation have immediate operational and financial consequences.
