Post-Event Review: BWA Christmas Lunch 2024

The Bonded Warehousekeepers Association (BWA) hosted its annual Christmas Lunch on Friday, December 13th 2024, at the historic Merchants House of Glasgow, bringing together members and guests to celebrate the year’s achievements in the alcohol and warehousing industry.

The event featured an inspiring keynote speech by Kirsty Wainwright of Eden Mill St Andrews.

Kirsty told the audience about her journey in the whisky industry, and shared an update on the development of Eden Mill’s new distillery and their commitment to sustainability. Her insights into the future of whisky production and the importance of environmentally conscious practices were both thought-provoking and highly relevant to the industry’s current focus on green innovation.

Lord Dean of Guild, Andrew McFarlane, offered an engaging overview of the history of the Merchants House of Glasgow, adding a layer of cultural appreciation to the day.

Attendees also enjoyed a carefully curated wine selection, introduced by Ewen Lamont of Liberty Wines.
