The challenge will see participants walk continuously from 6am until 6pm, demonstrating their commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer. The event forms part of Gordon & MacPhail’s fundraising efforts for CLAN, its chosen Charity of the Year.
CLAN provides vital support services to people impacted by cancer across the north of Scotland, offering practical assistance, emotional support and a source of hope during some of life’s most difficult moments.
The walkathon aims to raise £1,000, with every step helping to fund CLAN’s essential services. Organisers say the event reflects the determination of both companies to make a meaningful difference within the communities they serve.
A spokesperson for the team said: “Cancer affects so many families and communities, and we are proud to support the incredible work carried out by CLAN. This walkathon is about coming together, showing perseverance and raising funds that will help ensure people continue to receive the support they need when they need it most.”
The team is encouraging colleagues, customers and members of the public to support the fundraising campaign, with every donation helping CLAN continue its invaluable work supporting those affected by cancer.
Donations towards the £1,000 target are welcomed and will directly contribute to the charity’s ongoing services and support programmes.
