Feedback Required: Response to US tariffs

How to input on potential UK tariff measures in response to US tariffs.

The government want to know what you think about the impacts that any future UK tariffs might have, if applied on US goods, in response to the US government’s recent tariff announcements.

The information gathered will help the government to assess the scope and impacts of any UK tariff measures that could be applied. More detail can be found in the request for input.

The government has developed an indicative long list of US products with the intention of identifying products where there would be a more limited impact on UK businesses and consumers. The inclusion of a product on this list does not mean that it will appear in any UK tariff response, should the UK choose to impose tariffs on US goods at all. More detail on this list can be found in the request for input.

Deadline

This request for input closes at 11:59pm on 1st May 2025.
