EMCS release delayed

HMRC have advised that the EMCS release, planned for 5th August 2024 to re-platform the service and complete FS4.0 to introduce duty paid functionality, will now be delayed. 

The delay is due to data migration issues that were found during testing.

HMRC said: “This means that we must postpone the delivery of these changes until these migration issues can be fixed. As such the planned downtime scheduled from midday Friday 2 August 2024 to 10am Monday 5 August 2024 is cancelled.”

There will be no loss of service.

HMRC will provide an update on the new deadline as soon as the data migration issues have been resolved.
