A call for evidence on customs modernisation was shared by HMRC, and will be open for responses until 15th September 2026.
The call for evidence tests industry views on the future of international trade and its impacts on the UK customs regime, to identify what HMRC are doing well and where they could go further. It does this by focussing on the future of international trade and its impacts on commercial operations and the customs regime, the future of customs data and how the UK customs model aligns with digitalised business operations, and whether our customs authorisations support modernised trade.
