BWA celebrates 2026 graduates of the Level 3 Certificate in Excise Practices and Procedures

The Bonded Warehousekeepers Association (BWA) proudly celebrated the achievements of its latest students completing the Level 3 Certificate in Excise Practices and Procedures, recognising their commitment to professional development within the excise and bonded warehousing sector.

The graduation ceremony took place on 27 February 2026 in the prestigious Churchill Room at the House of Commons in London, bringing together graduates, industry leaders, and representatives from across the excise community to mark this important milestone.

The event provided an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of students who successfully completed the qualification, which has become a key professional benchmark for those working with excise goods and compliance within the warehousing and logistics industries.

Developed by the BWA in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade and validated by HMRC, the Level 3 Certificate in Excise Practices and Procedures is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical understanding required to operate effectively in the excise environment.

The course covers a range of essential topics including excise regulations, the Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS), approvals and authorisations, duty calculations, and the storage and movement of duty-suspended goods.

Throughout the ceremony, graduates were presented with their certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the programme. The event also offered valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration, with industry stakeholders gathering to celebrate the achievements of the newest cohort of qualified professionals.

BWA and CIOE&IT representatives praised the graduates for their dedication and highlighted the importance of continuing education within the excise sector. As regulatory environments evolve, the need for skilled professionals who understand excise compliance and operational best practice continues to grow.

The Level 3 Certificate has quickly become a respected qualification within the industry, helping individuals strengthen their expertise while supporting organisations in maintaining high standards of compliance and operational excellence.

The BWA congratulates all graduates on their accomplishment and looks forward to welcoming future cohorts to the programme as the qualification continues to support the development of expertise across the excise sector.
