Bacardi first acquired a minority stake in Teeling in 2017 before increasing its holding to a majority position in recent years. Financial terms of the latest transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded by brothers Jack Teeling and Stephen Teeling, Teeling has become one of the leading names in Ireland’s modern whiskey renaissance, with its products now sold in more than 80 countries.
The Teeling brothers will remain involved with the business as strategic advisers, helping guide the brand’s future development under Bacardi’s ownership.
The acquisition strengthens Bacardi’s position in the growing premium Irish whiskey category and is expected to support Teeling’s continued international expansion.
