This paper concerns exports which move under a Single Transport Contract (STC). From 1 July 2009 it is imperative that, where applicable, the CHIEF export declaration contains this information. Exporters and their agents should confirm whether goods are exported under STC.

HM Revenue & Customs - Export Procedure followed by Transit Procedure: Safety and Security
Regulations 648/05 and 1875/06 (Annex 30A) contain details of the requirement to submit Safety and Security (S&S) data for goods being exported from the EU or moved between member states via a third country.
This CIP is being issued to try and alleviate some of the concerns the trade have expressed in respect of when to make S&S declarations and will explain the action to be taken when the transit procedure follows the export procedure.
